I am a novice and find my flashprint editing /slicing software only can do so much.

So I wonder if maybe someone would please offer some advice about which programs are worth looking into.

I would specifically like to know which free or low cost 3D modelling programs would be good for making or remixing miniature wargames -sized models, terrain, vehicles etc.,

Is there an easy to use editor in which I can open several .stl files at once, copy and paste from those into a single .stl file?

The flashprint editor/slicer I have only allows a single stl file to be open at a time, so I cannot combine several different models in a single stl file for the purpose of printing them in the same sitting.

I must admit I could not make head nor tails of blender at first glance, it seems to have a rather steep learning curve...

yea ive had to go through step by step tuts for it and still dont understand it fully lol my favorite 3d modelling program is inventor but unfortunately that one isnt free unless you can try and snag a student copy :P
